The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for project management of all assigned projects using AIAG project management processes and tools. The PM is responsible for the success of all assigned projects, from business case to archival of project assets. Also responsible for product management of assigned publications and training courses; including as needed, translations, periodic reviews, ongoing maintenance/improvement actions, and withdrawal from circulation. Support the Program Management staff addressing critical issues in the Automotive supply chain, recruit members, and volunteers to ensure adequate resources to solve the problem, manage the project, and promote its adoption. Facilitate project logistics such as meetings and conference calls for Quality initiatives.


Program Management Activities

  • Lead the development and planning of volunteer initiatives and manage their impact and interaction with related organizational resources.
  • Ensure successful start-up and completion of a project.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of business cases for assigned projects.
  • Solicit and obtain volunteer resources for projects while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Lead and facilitate projects using the AIAG project management methodology and tools. Oversee project schedules and phases.
  • Ensure Anti-trust and Copyright Policies are followed through activities such as agendas, announcements and minutes and copyright releases.
  • Educate volunteers on AIAG policies and procedures.
  • Ensure product marketing and sales plans are developed and executed.
  • Ensure members of steering committee and project oversight are adequately represented.
  • Ensure strategic plans and business plan budgets are developed for assigned projects and provide oversight of same.
  • Represent AIAG by building relationships with regional and international standards, sister organizations as well as media.
  • Manage subject matter expertise (via volunteers/consultants) on AIAG projects and deliverables.
  • Collaboration with AIAG colleagues, members, and volunteers.
  • Manage projects developed under contracts or Memorandum of Understandings (MoU).
  • Responsible for the performance of AIAG processes as they relate to your job.
  • Lead Event planning and execution for the Annual Quality Summit.
  • Lead AIAG internal Quality Management System (QMS) and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
  • Support team in data analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior project management and automotive quality experience required.
  • Data analytics skills (e.g. experience with Power BI) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work with employees at all levels, customers, and vendors.
